Laws of the Game for Sahlen Sports Park are the same as USSF with the following exceptions: - There is to be NO Jewelry on any player during a game.
- Length of Game: Will be (2) 25 minute half’s.
- All referees decisions are final.
- Half Time will be 2 minutes (clock starts as soon as 1st half is over).
- Forfeit: 10 minutes after the scheduled game time.
- Minimum # of players: (field #1,4,5 and #23 - 4 + keeper) / (1/2 field – 3 + keeper) / (full field 6 + keeper).
- Player’s jersey must have a permanent number (NO taped numbers). – Numbers are available in Pro Shop.
- Pinnies will be available if there is a color conflict.
- All players must have Shin Guards.
- Substitutions: at the discretion of the referee during any stoppage in play. no substitutions will be allowed in the last 2 minutes of play. .
- Interference: If ball hits ceiling in the field of play, the restart is an indirect free kick from where the ball hits the ceiling. If interference occurs inside the penalty area the restart will be a throw in near the corner flag.
- If the ball hits the center cable, the restart will be an Indirect kick at the center circle (at midfield).
- Free Kicks: Opponents must be at least 5 yards from the ball on all fields. Full field 10 yards.
- Cautions: If caution is given (yellow card), player must leave the field for the rest of the game. No exceptions. Red cards: the player will leave for the rest of the game and be suspended a minimum of one additional game.
- Spitting: is NOT allowed, verbal warning 1st, next EJECTION.
- For Play-off and Championship games, determined by kicks from the mark – it will be 1 for 1, not 5 players, all sudden victory.
- Goal differential: For u8/10 youth games, when a team is up by 5 goals, goals are not added to score board.
- Molded shoes are not allowed on any of the fields. Turf shoes are OK. See Exception for tournaments
- Player’s shirts are to be tucked in at all times, including the Keeper.
11v11 Tournament rules: (Exceptions to league rules) If there is any interference on the field of play, (i.e. ball hits the ceiling) the restart will be a drop ball not a kick. Molded shoes are alowed on field #45 for tournaments and sanctioned outdoor games only.
