Congratulations to the WNY Flash!
The staff of Sahlen's Sports Park congratulates the Western New York Flash for their stirring and inspirational win in the Women's Pro Soccer title game at Sahlen's Stadium on Saturday. The grit of not quitting after a tough first-half, emotional equalizer and surprising red card shows everything our region wants to see in a professional sports team. We've watched as the ladies of the Flash worked hard daily at our facility, honing their games and building a team chemistry that was clearly the top of the league. From the foundation laid by the 2010 USL W-League champion Buffalo Flash to the final preparations for Satuday's game versus Philadelphia, you did it all. Incredible work, and here's to a third-straight title year in 2011!
